Introduction to Improvisational Theater- THURSDAYS, 7:30-9:30 at Eastwood Christian Church. January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21, and 28. $150 Instructor: MCI Artistic Director Scott Field.

This course is designed as a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of improvisation. Whether you are a professional actor, looking to become more self-confident, or a professional who just wants an exciting new experience, we offer a safe and supportive atmosphere in which to grow. Students are introduced to the concepts of agreement, the improviser’s responsibility to be present, focused, and trusting and to add new information, and the mechanics of establishing relationships, objects, characters and environments within scenes. Students also develop the important skills of listening, increased self-confidence, clear communication, teamwork and an ability to harness creativity. Plus, it is a ton of fun!

Intermediate Improvisational Theater- SATURDAYS, 2-4 at at Eastwood Christian Church. January 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 2. $150 Instructor: MCI Artistic Director Scott Field

This is a course for actors who have prior improv studies and performance experience. Building on the foundation learned in the introductory course, Intermediate Improvisational Theater concentrates on scene work, adding new information and character development in both improvisational scenes and monologues through carefully chosen games and exercises. Whether you have studied with us or elsewhere, or have lots of prior experience, this six week experience will help you sharpen your scene work and elevate your confidence as a player.

Registration and Tuition

Cost is $150 for each course. The instructors are professional improvisers with Music City Improv. Enrollment is open until the first day of class, or until it is full. Class size will be limited to twelve. Payment accepted the first day of class or thru PayPal below.
